Bjorn's Room : Part Two

Hello all! We've made a few changes over the past couple weeks and I wanted to share them with you!
We moved Bjorn into a bigger room...

This room was the guest bedroom and will still double as a guest bedroom because we're doing something REALLY exciting to B's old room! I'll get to that in a minute... And for the time being he sleeps in our room and I don't see that changing anytime soon... I also don't see us having any more children for a long time IF we do have anymore. Anyway, I felt like as he grows he will need a bigger room, also the attic access was in his old room and so was the electrical box and when he gets old enough I don't want to worry about him trying to climb into the attic or messing with the box. Just a warning, it was very dreary out when I took these pictures so the lighting isn't so great...
So here is Bjorn's room/ the guest bedroom...

My Grandpa gave B those old cars on the shelf. He loves anything with wheels and I think they're so cool... I just put some dollar tree trays up there and a frame I painted gold with some scrap book paper and scrabble letters in it to spell B's name...

I obviously kept the same decorations as his old room but added a few new things my Grandparents gave to us. We also added that poster of Michael Murphy because that's who B is named after (his middle name is Michael). Michael Murphy is my husbands hero and if you haven't heard of him watch the movie The Lone Survivor. It's amazing how courageous this man was. There are no words... And I'm proud to say my son is named after him.

I have a little diaper caddy on his chest and some boots that I cant wait for him to wear...

This shelf was a garage sale find. I just painted it white and dressed it up with some of my favorite things...

Bjorn "painted" this gold and black picture! It was so cute... We went to visit our friends in September for their daughters first birthday. She is just the cutest thing you'll ever see. I've already approved her as my daughter-in-law.... Anyway, my friend bought some canvases and some paint for the kids to paint with. We squirted the paint all over the canvas and taped plastic bags over to cover the paint and let the kids go at it on the floor! Crawling all over and smacking the canvas. It was so cute and no mess and now we have an awesome little treasure to keep forever! If you have little ones, try this! B and Hayden had so much fun!

For my baby shower, my friends had everyone bring a book to sign instead of a card. I absolutely LOVED that idea! So there's a couple of them on the table...

I love that quilt my moms neighbor made for B. She is so talented. She made us a quilt for our wedding day and everyone signed it as our "guest book". I LOVE the work she does and I was so excited to get this quilt from her. Thank you again, Marta!
This table was one my friend gave to me. It was originally silver and had a glass top. When I decorated the nursery I found I needed a side table so I took this guy outside and spray painted the frame gold. I didn't like how it looked with the glass top and wanted something a little brighter on top so I cut three boards and nailed them together and painted it white...
Here's how the table looked before and after...

That pallet with the quote on it was actually our old headboard in California. It has two more boards that go with it... Now that I'm looking at it I think I want to add the other two boards... Anyway, That is Bjorns favorite song. My mom sings it to him all the time and has since the day he was born so I thought it went well in his room...

I got the rug and the bedding at Ross and the big comforter at the bottom of the bed is from my old room at my Grandparents house in Ohio.

Taylor has approved my request to make the small bedroom into.... Drummmmbrooooollllllllllll......

MY CLOSET!!! I can't wait to get it all put together. We went from a house that had seven closets to a house that has three VERY tiny closets. I guess that comes with an old house... But I have a LOT of stuff...  Right now that room is a huge mess so if anyone comes to my house that door will remain shut! Haha :)

Thanks for reading and if you want to see how the nursery looked before, you can check it out here and here! And stay tuned for the big closet reveal!!

Have a wonderful rainy Tuesday!
