Entry Table Redo with Washi Tape

white dresser makeover with gold washi tapeHello! Its the weekend finally!! We are just taking advantage of the sunshine over here. We love summer. Bjorn keeps asking everyday if it's still summer LOL he just loves being at the pool and being outside. I've recently made a few changes in my home to make it more my own and this dresser makeover is one of them! I did this on a whim one day and I wasn't quite sure how I liked it...

After looking at it and adding some finishing touches... and styling it... I love it! It really turned out exactly like I envisioned. These projects are my favorites because I always use what I already have around the house. For this one I spent exactly $0. I used some white paint (Sherwin Williams Eider White) that was already here from when the house was built, I had washi tape HERE and Rub n buff HERE already so I decided to get to work on it!

Here's how I did it:

I started by removing the hardware and painting the dresser white. I didn't sand it or anything (I never do). It took 3 coats of paint but after it was dry I put some of THIS rub n buff on the handles. I put the handles back on when all was dry and thought it needed a little something more so I grabbed THIS washi tape and started putting it in the inlays. I didn't do it perfect and used small pieces of the tape because I wanted it to be kind of a foiled look and it turned out exactly how I wanted it to!

I then went to town styling it. I saw an entry way recently in a magazine that had a long bench style table filled with home decor books. It was so simple and pretty so I wanted to re create that look. I had some of my own home decor books but it wasn't enough to fill the whole table so I filled in with some records! A few plants later and I accomplished the simple and functional entry table I had been wanting.

I love how it turned out and how it flows with the rest of the house now. It was all brown wood and just blended in with my floors. Now it's bright white and more "me". I hope you enjoyed and got some inspiration for your own home! Thanks for stopping by to see what I'm up to <3
Love you,
