Mother's day is just a couple days away so I thought I'd share some fun Mothers Day gifts with you! Being a mom, I though of some fun diy's and things that would make me feel super special this mothers day. Flowers and a card are great, but I wanted to spice it up a bit with some cute gifts that don't break the bank. Here's what I came up with...
Make mom a card. Sure it's easy to go out and purchase a card but it's so much more thoughtful to make one (and way cheaper too). Putting thought and effort into something that can be easily picked up at the store is just so much more special.
PAMPER MOM!!! If getting her nails and toes done is too much (I don't do it because I can find 100 other things I could spend that money on, maybe I'm just cheap ;)) give her a kit to do it herself! This will make her want to take the extra few minutes to have some much needed time to herself.
I just thought this was so sweet and thoughtful. A vase/ picture frame in one. You can't go wrong with this adorable DIY.
And next is a super simple DIY that will make her smile from ear to ear. Put the kids feet or hands in paint, press them on a piece of paper with a sweet quote or note and frame it. So easy and so precious!!!
And lastly, sugar scrubs!! They're so popular and so fun to give as gifts. Here are two recipes I came up with:
LEMON SUGAR SCRUB:
-1 cup coconut oil
-1 cup of sugar
-6-12 drops of lemon essential oil (I love a strong sent so I did 12, if you don't have essential oils, squirt a lemon in and add some lemon zest)
HONEY COFFEE SUGAR SCRUB:
-1 cup coconut oil
-1 cup of sugar
-1/2 cup of ground coffee
-2 Tbsp honey
Stir it all together in the jar or in the bowl and tie with a sweet bow and a note
