Inspiration Sheet Series: Bold, Vintage Bedroom and Giveaway

As you know from my last post HERE I re arranged my entire house. I moved my bedroom to my living room and my living room to my dining room and put my dining table in the kitchen... That left us with a whole extra bedroom (our old room) and a huge master bedroom. This got me pondering design ideas for our new huge bedroom...

Because it's so bright in there with all the sliding doors out to the deck, I want to go darker. Now this exact design isn't realistic for us. It would be way out of our budget but I plan on using this as inspiration for our bedroom and finding these items more in our budget. I feel like my house is just a big playground for me. Trying different styles and textures and learning what I love in home décor. I have a distinct style that I love and it's everything mixed into one. Farmhouse, shabby, vintage, some modern, eclectic, boho all rolled into one. This bedroom makeover will take some time but I want to have it done by next year. It's amazing how full I thought my house was. I had no wall space left the way it was before and just moving the furniture added a whole other bedroom and now my new bedroom is empty. I've also been getting rid of things. After I moved things around, I only put things back that I truly love. I've purged my living room and kitchen so far and I feel such a since of relief. I got rid of all the things I don't love or haven't used in a while in those two rooms so now all they do is make me happy. I love being in my kitchen and watching my boys play and watch movies. It's something I've dreamed of for a long time. And having a fireplace in our bedroom isn't bad either :)
I love doing these inspiration sheets and I make them for people who need help with their homes. Typically someone will contact me saying "I need help with my kitchen (or living room or bedroom). I just don't know where to start. Can you help me?" I then go to their Pinterest page and study what they pin to find their style. You only pin things you love right?? I've found this is the easiest way to get a feel for the persons style of décor they like. I ask them to send me pictures of the space if they haven't already and then I come up with an inspiration sheet. Typically I charge for these but I want to give one away as a Christmas gift to someone! I'm going to host the giveaway on my Facebook HERE and it will go live tonight! It will probably last a week. I'll give all the details on my Facebook page. Hope to see you there!!! [ GIVEAWAY CLOSED ]
As always, thank you for stopping by to see what I'm up to. I feel so blessed to have people who care about what I put out into the world. It's truly my passion and to have people reading along and caring about what I do, fills my heart with so much joy. Have a wonderful holiday weekend, friends!!!
