Hi all!! I hope your Holiday weekend was wonderful... We had lots of good times with friends and family. Something that doesn't happen often so it was exactly what we needed. I wanted to come on here and show you what my kitchen looks like now that we moved it around. I've also updated a couple things in here that I thought I'd share...

Inspiration Sheet Series: Bold, Vintage Bedroom and Giveaway
As you know from my last post HERE I re arranged my entire house. I moved my bedroom to my living room and my living room to my dining room and put my dining table in the kitchen... That left us with a whole extra bedroom (our old room) and a huge master bedroom. This got me pondering design ideas for our new huge bedroom...

10 Ways to Decorate for Christmas on a BUDGET (NO TREE REQUIRED)
I'm really excited about this post because I love reading other "how to" posts with easy steps to accomplish something. I like simple step by step tips and I also love decorating on a budget! So I thought I'd combine the two and tell you how I decorated for the holidays this year by spending very little money on new décor. Lets get to it!...

Thanksgiving Table Setting
Aah... Back in my happy place. I love this blog. I get a break from reality to decorate a little space in my home and share it with whoever wants to see it. It's my creative escape and I love it. I have not been in the Holiday spirit lately. Here in Missouri, it's been very warm. It's nice but it's cramping my Christmas style. I can't fully enjoy fall because it's too warm to wear scarfs and boots (I do anyway and everyone makes fun of me) and so I can't get into the decorating part of it either but today it was pretty cool out so I got into it a little bit...

Toddler Bedroom Makeover
FINALLY!!! If I haven't had every technical difficulty in the world with this post.... But it finally came together. First camera difficulties, but in a way I'm happy about it because I've added more to this room. And then computer difficulties. But it's ok because we're here now!! This room was driving me crazy for so long... I always said I didn't want to decorate it because when he got old enough, I wanted him to be able to decorate it however he wanted because when I was little I was always re decorating my room (no shocker there) and that's how I came to love interior design. So I want to give him all the freedom in the world to express his creativity, but man was it driving me crazy in here...

Christmas Champagne Bar
Boy what a busy couple of weeks. I have been trying so hard to get another post up, but my camera has been giving me troubles. I don't know why but I can't get decent pictures of my son's room, which in a way I'm glad because I've added some more to that room that I'm excited to show you. If you follow me on Instagram then you know I've done a make over in there. Eventually I'll get it all up but for now, I have a fun little post for you...

Inspiration Sheet Series: Rustic, Western Inspired Kitchen
A very special couple has recently asked me to help them with their kitchen. I'm so excited about this because this kitchen has needed some serious lovin for a long time! They built their house in the 80's and the only thing's they've changed in the kitchen has been the floor, appliances and hardware on the cabinets. The counter tops, backs plash, lighting, and cabinets are all original. Now i'm all about salvaging old things, and bringing them back to life....

Colorful Farmhouse Fall Front Porch
Eeeeek I'm in love with decorating my front porch. I have always struggled with outdoor spaces. I just never had the vision like I do indoors. This front porch swing just inspired so much creativity for me though. Now my porch is one of my favorite spaces to style and I'm super pumped about it. As you all know, I don't like to use a lot of color in my home but I feel like I can bring more color outdoors with flowers and pumpkins. I'm really excited about this next fall front porch so lets go see it!...

Target Inspired Fall Table for Two
Hello friends! I hope you had a very wonderful weekend. Mine was pretty productive, working outside and some inside. This month is the busiest month of all for us. Weddings, kids birthdays, festive parties, and my husbands birthday. So the fact that we were able to be productive and get things done around the house was a miracle. Every year we have a big Halloween party for my husband because his birthday is on Halloween, and you wanna know something funny? I hate Halloween...

Adding Copper and Gold into My Kitchen- Rub n Buff Review
Hello all! I have a short little post for you today about how I added some sparkle into my kitchen. After I got my chandelier in my dining room, my kitchen looked somewhat masculine with the black light, black cabinet pulls etc. I originally thought I would spray paint everything. I currently have an obsession with all things gold and copper... It's a problem...

Fall Home Tour: The Kitchen
And my fall house tour continues with my kitchen... I'm super excited to finally be doing a house tour. As I said in the first part of the house tour, I never felt like my house was ready enough for one. I always want my house to look perfect and be exactly how I want it before I photograph it and put it on my blog. It takes me so much time to style a space because I constantly nit pick myself and what I'm doing...

Vintage Inspired Table for Two
So recently my husband found these chairs on the side of the road for me. You can read more of the story here. These chairs inspired me so much to do a shabby chic vintage type of table setting...The tall chair was already white, the one on the left (below) I already had and the one on the right he found as well but it was brown. The bench I already had from a picnic table set my dad made. I painted them all white with my chalk paint score at Aldi and put them around the table. After I got the chairs around the table I was looking and thinking I needed a vintage inspired table setting with lots of candles. I went around and gathered up all my candle sticks and placed them in the center. I zoned out to some music and this is what came out onto the table. Sparkly, eclectic, vintage. I'm kind of in love...

Fall Home Tour: The Living Room
I'm super excited to be posting this!! I've wanted to do a home tour for such a long time but never felt like my house was ready enough. I've realized you cant wait for a house to be "finished" because it never will be. I know this time next year this room will look completely different but I cant wait any longer! There's lots I want to change in here but for now I'll show you what it looks like today after adding in some fall decorations...

Old Wooden Locker Coat Closet
Hello all!! I missed getting a post up this weekend. It was a busy one but I wanted to show you part of what I did this weekend. I did a lot of projects in the house and still have paint all over my hands... Let's just not talk about that. This weekend I got to pick up one of my new favorite pieces in our house! This amazingly huge old wooden locker! I'm in love...

Inspiration Sheet Series: Eclectic and Elegant Living Room
Ok... I know you all are thinking, this isn't Savanna's house... What's going on??? Well, short back story- I've been decorating for a while and I have my own style. I call it Savanna's style. Original I know. I love mixing different styles together to make it my own. So with that being said, I've had several people ask me to help them with different rooms. People with very different styles. Challenging for me in the sense that I have my own decorating style so stepping out of my box is somewhat difficult. But I enjoy a challenge...

Simple Neutral Fall Centerpiece
I love simple décor that makes a big impact. If I can throw something I've had in my head together in just a few minutes, and it look like I put way more effort into it, I'm a happy girl. Funny story: One of the boys I watch on the weekend came over and asked "why do you have so many pumpkins? It's not even fall!" I told him to go play with some toys and don't worry about it (haha) he said "But the leaves are still green!!!" He was so concerned for my premature abundance of pumpkins around my house. I couldn't help but laugh. When a four year old tells you that you have a problem... You may have a problem...

Early Fall Front Porch Decor
Oh my lort. This post is so exciting for me. All my little life I've wanted a front porch with a swing in the country. It's the simple things. Also it's just a staple with an old farm house and now that I have one, I'm way too overly excited about it. This swing came from my sweet neighbor who bought a new one and sold me this one for just $30! I didn't let her see my excitement but inside I was jumping and screaming like a little girl. I kept my composure as we loaded it up but trust me. Screaming like a little girl inside...

Early Fall Decor in the Kitchen
Happy early fall everyone!!! I'm so excited for fall I can't stop decorating... I have a problem... But I've accepted it and decided to live with the problem I have. It's fall all year round in my little heart. I have decorated pretty much every room in my house for fall and I brought some into my kitchen as well. I did a centerpiece for my DIY kitchen island here and added some to my counter tops...

Easy DIY Fall Centerpiece
I have a SUPER easy DIY for you!! There's a few things I love in this life and fall, cheap decor and simplicity happen to be three of them. I'm very spontaneous and a little impatient when it comes to my home decor. I love creating simple DIY projects and turning them into something adorable for my home. I don't like to spend a lot of time on DIY projects because I know i'll be spending most of my time putting it together (and trust me I spend a LOT of time styling my house) sometimes I'll work on something for so long my back starts to hurt and my husband has to make me sit down! Haha I'm cray cray!! Any-who.... When I saw these printables from Ella Claire I knew I had to incorporate them in my house somewhere but I didn't know where...

My New (old) Chandelier
I went thrifting last weekend and had my mind set that I wouldn't find anything. I ALWAYS go to thrift stores and find little things I don't need and never find things I'm actually looking for. I was looking for 2 very big things and I found both of them, on top of those two things, I also found this amazing chandelier...

Our Painted Fireplace and Super Simple Corner Gallery Wall
Have you ever had a significant piece of furniture, or something built in that you just can't stop starring at? Not because it's pretty... Because you hate but you cant look away and everyday you say "I'm going to paint that/get rid of that this week!" Well I've been saying that for a year now and FINALLY I got around to painting the fireplace...

Early Fall Dining Room Vignette
I just couldn't help myself today... Every year around this time I just can't wait for fall. I wait and wait for the weather to get cooler, the leaves to fall and everything pumpkin to start hitting all the stores. This is what I live for. I love the idea of decorating every room with warm blankets and throw pillows, bringing outside elements inside, and wrapping up in a sweater with some hot chocolate on the couch. I love this season and everything it brings along with it! So with that being said, I had a Monday full of dreaming of fall. Pinning everything pumpkin and thinking of how I wanted to decorate my house this year. When I got home from work I just started re decorating. I'm crazy like that. I originally had a plan for something I was going to paint today but then I got all wrapped up in all things fall and came up with this early fall vignette in my dining room...

Bathroom Issues!
Okay... So I've been posting about how we're re doing our bathroom and how excited I was to finally do away with all the decor I don't want anywhere else in the house that somehow ends up in the bathroom. It had a very beachy vibe and that's not really my style. I notice the beachy decor in a lot of bathrooms actually... Is it because there is water in there and it attracts all the seashells? I don't get it but it works for some. Not me. So this whole bathroom re-do was very spur of the moment (a lot like everything I do) and I decided in the middle of the night we needed a refresh....

DIY Custom Range Hood with Storage only $20!
Holy moly I've been BAD at blogging lately... I have been so busy with life that I haven't been able to get many projects done around the house. Maybe I shouldn't make up excuses but I gotta blame something other than myself right? We started on a few projects over the weekend and I am happy to announce I will be blogging all of them! ...

DIY Shabby Chandelier
I've always wanted a chandelier in my home. They're so beautiful and make such a statement. They're also very expensive. I'm just not willing to pay the price for one so I was trying to find a way to make one. I looked out at my back porch and saw the red hanging baskets my friend gave to me last year. I had been using them as a bird feeder... It instantly hit me that I could make a chandelier out of it! I told Taylor in my usual fashion "OMG I HAVE AN IDEA!" he rolls his eyes every time I say that and sometimes the eye roll is followed by an "oh no..." I went online and purchased some craft crystals off of Amazon you can buy the strand of crystals here and the drop crystals here. I had to wait a while before they came in but once they did I got started! I had no plan on how to make this. I just decided to wing it. Here is how I made my shabby little chandelier...

Easter Dining Room
An Easter blog post after Easter..... That's just my style. Haha! It took me a long time to put this room together. Normally I get inspired and go at it, take pictures the next day, edit them and can get the post up pretty quick. Something just wasn't clicking with this one. I changed things round several times, felt frustrated that I didn't know what to do...

Dining Room Table Spring Refresh
I have a bit of a fun post today. Something I don't normally do... In my house, I like everything to be neutral. I don't add much color. My favorite color is white... :) I decided this spring I want to add some pops of color. My husband loves color so when I say I want to paint a piece of furniture white, he rolls his eyes. In a perfect world, everything in my house would be white... But that's just not practical and my husband would probably never come home...

Before and After Living Room
My Before and After series continues with our Living Room. I'm excited about this post because this room is my favorite. It's one thing that sold me on the house because of the wood stove and all the natural light it lets in. It brings the outdoors in with all of the sliding glass doors. This room has THREE sliding glass doors that go outside... Why they needed so many, I'm not sure but I love all the light. Especially in the morning. Eventually I want to replace the doors with french doors. I can imagine the doors being open and the curtains blowing. My heart! Two of the doors go out to our back deck and the third goes out to our screened in porch...

Before and After: Bathroom and Laundry Room
This post is all about our bathroom and laundry room makeovers. These two rooms were the first I got to decorate after we renovated the house. I didn't change a whole lot in these rooms except lots and lots of paint. I was going to paint the vanity in the bathroom but I have a dream bathroom in my head that doesn't include this vanity... I'm hoping we can get going on that project within the next couple years but until then, this one will do. I kept the tile because the budget didn't allow for that expense and until we renovate the bathroom, I'm fine with it. I just cover it up with rugs... Haha! Lets get into the before picture of the bathroom...

Before and After: Kitchen
I've been wanting to do a before and after post on our house for a while. I started to do it for the whole house and realized that it was going to be a very long post! So I decided to split it up by rooms. I'll go through all of the details and everything we have changed over the few months we've been in the house. We've almost lived here a year... I cant believe it! Time is going by way too fast... So with that being said, lets get into the before pictures. You've been warned....
