This garland is so simple to make that it doesn't really feel worthy of a post but I thought I'd share! Sometimes I think to myself "I'm not going to post about that because it's way too easy and other people have probably done it before" but then I get on Pinterest and see super simple DIY's and think "why didn't I think of that?!" so I decided I'm gonna share it all. Big and small...
This is a super fun DIY to involve the kiddos in too. As you can see, my son wanted in on the garland making action. He had lots of fun crumpling the book pages because #boys.
All I did was take the book pages and crumple them up, crumpling them just makes it bigger and I guess fluffier? LOL then when I had a stack of 5-10 I punched a hole through the middle with a pen (very professional over here) and stuck a piece of twine through. I tied off the ends with knots and viola! Big, fluffy book page garland for the holidays!
This DIY was technically free for me because I already had the book pages but I got the books a while ago at a thrift store for $2. It took most of a book to create I'd say. I can't really measure it because I took these pages off of my office wall! Remember my office HERE and now it's being turned into our nursery. You can find the plans to that HERE. I didn't want to waste the book pages so this is what I came up with. Trying not to spend much on holiday decor this year so I'm using what I have.
I hope this super simple DIY inspired you in some way. It was fun for me to create and fun for my son to help as well! Have a fabulous rest of your week my sweets!
