When my husband saw the watches he said "they're wood?? Wow!" The craftsmanship of the watches is incredible. They pay the most attention to detail carving all of the links. AND they're based out of my home state Missouri! Love supporting local businesses and this is one that is really making a name for themselves. The fact that they make such a cool watch helps.
First of all, from a design perspective, this packaging is everything! It's so beautiful and so well thought out. There is a small drawer at the bottom with a humidity bag in it to keep the watch dry. The ventilation from the humidity drawer to where the watch lives is carved out with their logo "JORD". I mean that's some detail. In a place that would otherwise be over looked, they took the time to make it beautiful and that really speaks to me about the quality of this whole company.
I just leave the box out on our dresser in our bedroom because it's just pretty sitting there.
I got so excited when JORD contacted me to do a giveaway for all my friends because I have followed them for a long time. Taylor chose THIS watch and he absolutely loves it. It's masculine but so elegant at the same time which is something you don't normally find in a men's watch. He loved the two wood tones and the face of this watch the best, although it was a very tough decision. He went back and fourth a lot but I just love the detail of this watch. This man down here in this picture is really something. He is kind, generous, gives everything to others. He would do anything for anyone and loves to help others so much to the point I sometimes get annoyed (haha). For these reasons he decided to serve in the Marine Corps right out of high school and right after that, came back to Missouri and wen't to school to be a police officer and is currently serving as an Officer in the city. This picture was taken when we lived in California as he was in the Military, I like to call it our honeymoon. Our 4 year anniversary is coming up this month and I'm so excited that he got something so well deserved. He has been needing a good quality watch so this couldn't have come at a better time.
This watch looks good dressed up or just casual. It transitions so beautifully and is really a statement piece.
