I've had these shutters hanging in my living room for a while now. I found them at a garage sale a long long time ago and I painted them white. I usually keep some matching pictures hanging on them but I was changing up my decor for spring and I came up with something a little different this year. I had these tulips (you can find them HERE) and I thought I'd stick them in the slats and see how it turned out. I tried to stick one in to see if it would stay and it didn't so I just bent the end and hooked it on the slats. I just did them randomly.
I really love how it turned out and how it added some greenery into my home. I have plants and florals all over but this unconventional way of having flowers in your home is so fun and makes for a fun conversation piece!! These tulips HERE are some of my favorite faux flowers I've ever used. They look and feel so real and are SO CHEAP!! Faux flowers can get kind of pricey. You can definitely do this idea in your home with other flowers just make sure they have a wire in the stem so you can bend the end. I have a video at the end of this post so you can really understand what I mean on how to attach them.
Welp that's it for today's post!! I loved creating this and I love looking at it even more! I'm so ready for warmer temps. I get so impatient with the weather but decorating my home makes the wait a little more tolerable. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and I'll see ya next week!! (video below)
Here's some more of my spring decor I pulled out and don't forget to check out the video below!
