Moody Dining Room

Happy November!! I can't believe how fast this year is flying by. It's a good thing. A very good thing. But still crazy!! Have you decorated for Christmas yet?? I feel like this year we can just do whatever we want... Haha! I have not decorated for Christmas but I did do a little dining room refresh recently...

I was talking on my Instagram stories about how I got a wild idea to paint my dining room. At first it was just an idea but in true Savanna fashion, it turned into a full on makeover. Once I get something in my head, I have to do it!! And I'm so so glad I did.

I was originally wanting the color Urbane Bronze by Sherwin Williams but the hardware store I went to only had Benjamin Moore paint so I did some color matching and this color is VERY close!! This color is Silhouette by Benjamin Moore. I love the warmth of it. It's a very warm dark gray which goes beautifully with the Anew Gray in the rest of my home. I'm a huge fan of "nooky" homes meaning I love defined rooms in a home. That probably comes from my old house love but this home is open concept. I LOVE it, BUT I wanted to define and romanticize this room a bit. Is that a word? I don't know but basically I wanted a moody, defined, romantic dining room and I think this color achieves that.

I originally left these doors alone but then found it was just an eyesore when they were white. Just a big white box that I couldn't figure out how to balance so I just painted them the same color as the walls and I love it this way!! I snagged some of my favorite vintage prints and made a little gallery wall. I flanked the gallery wall with THESE (affiliate link) sconces and I love the modern mixed with vintage vibe.

I did not hardwire these sconces. I just put them on the wall for the look. I will add a puck light (if I can find one small enough to go in these globes) like I did on my fireplace sconces HERE. I just love the look of sconces but don't want the hassle of hardwiring. I also added some washi tape from my bedroom wall HERE to my faux light over my table to bring some of the gold over. I love how that simple change made a big difference.

That's it!! Can you believe the power of paint?! I cannot!!! Grab some paint and shop your house. You'll be surprised with what comes out of it!! I hope you enjoyed and got some inspiration for your own home. Thank you so much for being here. I'm so appreciative of every one of you. Have a beautiful week, friends!!

Love you,

Let's be friends!!
